Official Reiki stamps for Masters

286

Since time immemorial, various methods have been used around the world to give documents an official status. This used to happen, for example, with wax seals in Europe and seal stamps were used in Asian countries. In Europe, it actually no longer occurs, but in Asia it is still customary to apply this method of sealing. Although, it is increasingly common that a traditional stamp is not used, but that it is replaced by an electronic stamp.

Stamps according to the old traditions

A seal replaced a signature in some cases, but often the stamp was placed on the document and the written signature was placed over it. This guaranteed the authenticity of the document. So you can say that the stamp, in combination with the signature, made it an official and recognized document. The meaning of setting the stamps has therefore not changed over the centuries. That is why an official Reiki certificate still needs to have an official Reiki stamp from the Usui-style Reiki Research Society (臼井式霊気研究会). And also, the signature of the Reiki Master who issues the certificate should not be missing. The name stamp, in the form of the Master Reiki stamp, then completes the certificate.

A stamp of natural material

The Asian stamps are made of many different materials. You will find them made of metal, bamboo or even plastic. But the traditional Japanese stamps used for the official Reiki stamps and Reiki Master stamps are made of natural stone. Traditionally, garanseki is often used for this, a light green to gray-white Japanese natural stone that is also called the temple stone. Making a stamp from this stone is quite laborious, which makes the price higher. That is why you can also opt for an alternative natural material, in the form of soapstone.

An official stamp for the Reiki Master

If you are a Reiki Master and give Reiki training, the official Reiki stamps should not be missing in your practice. After all, if you issue a Reiki certificate to a student, you will have to endorse this certificate as an official document. And you do that with two stamps. First, that is the official Reiki stamp. As a Master, you hereby acknowledge that the student has mastered the level learned according to the tradition of the Usui-style Reiki Research Society.

With the second stamp, the Reiki Master stamp, you place your own name on the certificate. You confirm this by putting your signature over the stamp so that it is also recognized in the west. Sealing or stamping the Reiki certificates is not only important to guarantee the authenticity of the certificate. Your student can also start their own practice with this official certificate.

Handmade authentic stamps

Both the official Reiki stamp and the Reiki Master stamp that you order from JinKei are made by hand. It therefore does not matter whether you choose a soapstone stamp or a garanseki stamp. You can count on high-quality stamps that are made with care.

If you want a stamp that is made according to Japanese tradition by a Japanese stamp master, we recommend choosing the Hanko Reiki stamps. Each of these stamps is made with care and dedication in the traditional way from garanseki natural stone, where you can be sure that it is a unique item. The Hanko Reiki stamps are made with honor and only made by hand, on request, so that the stamp is not only unique, but also personal.

Because all stamps that you can order from JinKei are made by hand, the delivery time can be about four weeks. There is no rush in making, which is completely in line with Reiki and the Japanese tradition. Because we also work with natural materials, the exact dimensions and colors can vary per stamp.

The characters on the stamps

As mentioned, the official Reiki stamp features the name of the Ushi style Reiki Research Society (臼井式霊気研究会) in Kanji characters. This stamp is always square. The Reiki Master stamp is round and consists of three parts. These are the words Master, Reiki and the name of the Master. It is a combination of Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana characters. Kanji are Japanese characters taken from Chinese. Hiragana are the original Japanese characters and is the official Japanese writing language that Japanese children are also taught at school. Katakana characters are Japanese characters for Western names and words because there are no Japanese characters for them. That is why the Master stamp has a combination of these three characters.

An official stamp - only for Reiki Masters

The Reiki stamps are made personally for you and that's it makes these stamps unique. But it goes further than that. Because by putting an official stamp on a Reiki certificate, you also protect Reiki Mastery, so that not everyone can arbitrarily award a Reiki certificate. JinKei takes this very seriously, and that is why we ask for a copy of your Reiki certificate when you order the Reiki stamps through us. This way, we can see if you indeed order these stamps as a Reiki Master. We will of course handle this with care and use the copy only for our own records and exclusively for this purpose. We rely on your understanding for this.
